Abuse by Proxy
Abuse by Proxy is a major red flag, a desperate need to control and harm the victim's mental health at any cost with the detached assumption that everything will go back to normal. Abusers lack self-awareness, a lack of guidance, which is why the primary abuse happened in the first place, a detachment with an aim to normalise and keep a target to project onto. The secondary abuse happens after fear of exposure. More of the same.
The proxy element - The lesser self-aware who will put their head in the oven when asked to, clearly can't think for themselves. The action defines a hidden person who has a serious internal issue that the victim may already be aware of. It may take others (flying monkeys, goons) years to see they have been fooled. Lega,lly they trade places with the core perpetrator; they are now the perpetrator. Document everything and report the abuse by proxy as a separate case. They will need to confess who influenced them and why, and take the crime the commited in the same way.
